This high detaileled photo mosaic of China Chairman was composed from 800 flower photos and named after famous Mao slogan.

To operate Zoomify use + to zoom in and - to zoom out. You can scroll the image using either the up, down, left, right arrows or by clicking and dragging the image with the mouse.
Mosaic details:
The mosaic was build entirely on Mac computer.
Hardware:
- White MacBook with 2GHz Intel CoreDuo and 2GB RAM.
Software:
- Mac OS X 10.6
- Click 2 Crop for Mac to prepare 800 tile photos.
- Mazaika for Mac to assemble mosaic and save it to quite a large image.
Final mosaic image

The mosaic was saved to 21,081 x 30,000 pixels tiff file. The image can be printed as 70" x 100" (180 x 250 cm) poster at 300 DPI resolution.
Photo tiles
We used 800 original flower photos as a tiles images.
Every tile in final mosaic is 400 x 400 pixels. It's 1.3" x 1.3" (3.4 x 3.4 cm) if printed at 300 DPI resolution.

Color correction
Mazaika's color correction function allows you to adjust colors of the tiles to match to the colors of the main mosaic image
This correction is very effective way to make good recognizable main mosaic image and in the same time the correction works very gently and not affects or distorts tile images.
If you zoom deep into mosaic you'll see that every single flower is looks quite natural. If you zoom deep into mosaic you'll see that every single flower is looks very vivid and natural. These photos are not blended or visibly superimposed with main mosaic image. They looks like a normal photos, even when they were corrected.
